Online Muslim therapist in California.
As an online Muslim therapist, I work with teens, adults, couples, and families across California. This offers an intersectional connection based on similar values, shared cultural history, and cultural experiences.
Who I work with
Many seek a Muslim therapist so they don't have to explain their faith and culture first. You're not spending sessions teaching a therapist who might not understand. Therapy should be a space where you feel understood and can explore your concerns directly.
Muslim marriage counselingis available for couples interested. You don't have to justify who you are before talking about what's going on. Therapy is a safe space where you can open up without judgment.
Why some seek a Muslim therapist
As a child of immigrants, I saw how trauma and limited mental health care affect marginalized communities. Many suffer silently due to stigma and a lack of culturally competent therapists. Not having to explain and justify every little aspect of who you are can ease access to therapy. Discover more throughintergenerational trauma therapy.
Being able to ease the hearts and minds of souls that were suffering: it's all I ever wanted to do in my lifetime. Faith becomes part of sessions only if you want it.
Online therapy sessions
Sessions are online, from anywhere in California. Each session is 50 minutes: individual sessions are $150, couples and family sessions are $200, and they're private pay. You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate of therapy costs. Faith comes into sessions only when you want it.
Send me a message through the contact form, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Consultations are by email or text only. If you leave a number, I can text you back.
Faith and culture
I am South Asian and Muslim, and I speak English and Urdu. I strive to help people balance their mind, body, and soul. Everyone is welcome here, regardless of religion, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status. What you seek is within you, if only you reflect (attributed to Imam Ali).
Faith can be included in therapy only if you choose. Every part of who you are is welcome and valued. Being a culturally competent therapist is important to me as we are all made up of different, intersectional identities that shape us and deserve to be nurtured.
Sessions and fees
