Online BPD therapy in California.
Online BPD therapy in California is available for teens and adults who want to stop letting their emotions control them. It provides a safe space without judgment, where you can explore intense emotions and strive to master your reactions over time.
Who is BPD therapy for?
People with a borderline personality disorder diagnosis or those who experience very intense emotional reactions often come to therapy wanting to master their responses. You might notice these strong emotions can feel overwhelming and hard to control. Many find that these reactions can create challenges in their relationships, adding strain. Recognizing these patterns is an important step to seeking change.
Having a safe space where you can open up without any judgment is so incredibly important for the human soul. Here, you can explore the emotions and reactions that feel challenging to manage. Therapy is a place where you can begin to understand why certain situations trigger intense reactions and how to approach them with greater ease.
Therapeutic approach
I'm trained in structured CBT and DBT, and I think that human beings are powerful and insightful, and the solutions are within us. I draw on DBT and CBT skills alongside mindfulness (MBCT) techniques in our sessions, as we work on the reactions you want to master.
While no formal DBT program is offered, we practice these skills together in our sessions, focusing on emotional regulation. Sessions involve noticing what triggers strong reactions and trying different responses. This approach allows you to explore emotional responses and develop the skills needed to manage them over time.
How online sessions work
Sessions are online across California, 50 minutes each, and private pay at $150. I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) in California. You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs. If you want, sessions can also involve faith-based elements as part of the therapy.
To start, send a message for consultation by email or text, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. I see teens aged 14 to 19, as well as adults, couples, and families. If you're in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or 911.
